- 1 cup red wine
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste

In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium heat.
