  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts sliced into thin strips
  • 0.25 cup Soy Sauce low-sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced

For the Noodles

  • 8 ounces Egg Noodles or use rice or udon noodles

For the Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch

For the Vegetables (Optional)

  • 1 cup Bell Peppers sliced
  • 1 cup Broccoli chopped
  • 1 cup Carrots sliced thinly
  • 1 cup Snap Peas or Bok Choy sliced

For Garnishes (Optional)

  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Scallions
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Flakes

Method

  • Begin by slicing the chicken into thin strips and chopping your choice of vegetables. Boil your selected noodles until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken strips, soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic. Allow the chicken to marinate for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, cornstarch, and a bit of water or broth until smooth.
  • Heat oil in a wok or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated chicken until golden brown, approximately 4 to 5 minutes.
  • In the same pan, sauté your chopped vegetables for 2 to 3 minutes until they're crisp-tender and bright in color.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the pan, add the noodles, and gradually pour in your prepared sauce. Toss gently and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Plate up your sticky garlic chicken noodles, garnishing with sesame seeds, chopped scallions, or chili flakes for added flair.
