Skewers

  • 4-6 pieces skewers soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the fresh ginger, garlic, soy sauces, coconut milk, brown sugar, lime juice, salt, and pepper until everything is well combined and smooth.
  • Add your chunks of chicken to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but don't hesitate to go up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
  • Take the marinated chicken pieces and thread them onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even grilling.
  • Get your grill ready by heating it to medium-high and lightly oiling the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Place the skewers on the grill, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are beautifully charred. Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 74°C/165°F for safety.
  • Once cooked, squeeze some fresh lime juice over the skewers, and serve them immediately for a delightful tropical experience.
