Ingredients
  

  • 4 cutlets pork chops (boneless, about 1cm thick)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten eggs
  • 1 cup panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Tonkatsu Sauce

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 teaspoon karashi mustard optional

Garnish

  • Finely sliced white cabbage

Instructions
 

  • Flatten the pork chops to an even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  • Coat the pork chops in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then cover with panko, pressing lightly to adhere.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the chops until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes each side. Drain on paper towels or a wire rack.
  • To prepare the Tonkatsu sauce, mix ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, mirin and mustard to create a smooth and flavorful sauce.
