Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

Rice

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2.25 cups chicken broth (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 unit juice of lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

Cooking Instructions

  • Melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Brown chicken for 1-2 minutes on each side, then transfer to a plate.
  • Add rice, chicken broth, lemon juice, and remaining Italian seasoning to the pan. Place chicken on top, cover, and simmer over medium-low heat for 20-25 minutes until liquid is dissolved.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro and lemon wedges, then serve immediately.

Notes

Cooking times may vary depending on chicken type; ensure internal temperature of 165°F before serving. Optional add-ins include tomatoes, peas, carrots, red pepper flakes, or onion.
