Ingredients
  

  • 12.5 ounces strawberries for the mousse and topping
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy or whipping cream cold
  • extra strawberries for topping

Instructions
 

  • Clean and slice the strawberries, then add to a blender or food processor with the sugar and puree. Remove ½ a cup of puree and set aside.
  • In a cold bowl, add the cream and beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in the remaining puree gently.
  • Divide the ½ cup of puree between the 4 glasses and top with the strawberry mousse. Refrigerate for approximately 1 hour or overnight if desired. Top with fresh sliced strawberries and serve.

Notes

For a filling (like pie or cake), whip the cream until thickened; stir in the puree. Prepare gelatine in a small pot and combine with the whipped cream mixture as needed.
