Cooking Steps

  • In a skillet I sear the chicken pieces until golden, then I add soy sauce and brown sugar to create that glossy caramelised coating.
  • While the chicken cooks I prepare the broth by simmering chicken stock with minced garlic and fresh ginger until fragrant.
  • I spoon the hot garlic ginger broth over the rice to soak it slightly before adding the caramelised chicken on top.
