Batter

  • 1 loaf French bread Cubed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk Whole or 2%
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Ground
  • 0.5 cup sugar

Topping

  • 2 cups blueberries Fresh or frozen
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup For serving

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar.
  • Add the cubed French bread to the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Fold in the blueberries.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and set.

Serving

  • Serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared the night before and refrigerated. Bake it in the morning for an easy breakfast.
